Software is licensed on a single named user basis and licenses can only be transferred in the following situations:
- If user is upgrading machine
- If user making planned system changes eg. Windows update etc
- Or if new hire is replacing current user
Before routine machine upgrade or replacement / planned changes to system / installing on a new hires machine you should use the Transfer Utility in the Util folder - Transferring a license will allow you to use your current Activation Key again without having to contact Statistical Solutions for a replacement Key.
How to transfer a license to another computer:
- Go to the C Drive and Program files (x86) and find the Statistical Solutions Ltd Folder then open the folder named nQuery
- Scroll down to the folder called Util open this to find the Transfer Application
- Double click on the Transfer Application and a pop up screen will open. The Activation key (found on your online account) can then be entered into the Activation box and click"Deactivate"
- When the installation is completed on the new machine, a pop up screen for registration will open and you may enter the same Activation key into the Activation box and click "Activate"
- You now have access to the software on the new PC.
If system changes are made without first Transferring or Deactivating the License, you will have to contact register@statsols.com.
